Graduating with honors from the Ion Mincu Institute in 1970, he later ventured to Rome to refine his craft at the Accademia di Belle Arti under the guidance of luminaries like Luigi Montanarini and Sandro Trotti. His artistic evolution was profoundly influenced by his mentorship and experiences in Rome, where he explored the interplay between abstraction and figuration. In 1977, he and his wife, Myriam Sanchez-Posada, immigrated to the United States, carrying with them a rich tapestry of influences and insights. Throughout his career, he exhibited widely, seamlessly weaving together themes from Renaissance portraiture, still life, and landscapes into a mesmerizing blend of gesture and form. His legacy endures as a testament to his unwavering commitment to artistic exploration and expression, leaving an indelible mark on the world of art despite his passing in 2020.
